Sega's official stance on the matter is that they will not be releasing
games for any system other than the Dreamcast at any time in the future.
However, there have been a lot of rumors flying around about some of Sega's
popular arcade ports (like Crazy Taxi and Pro Trucker) coming to PS2. So I
guess the official answer is: No, but we can always hope. And you're not
alone feeling dissatisfied with the Dreamcast controllers. The makers of
bleem! are going to do a lot to remedy that situation with their bleem! Pads
and bleem! Pods. The Pad is a DC controller just like the PSX Dual Shock,
and the Pod allows you to plug your existing PSX controllers into the DC. We
will be taking a closer look at the bleem! Pads and bleem! Pods when they
are released later this Summer, and we'll also be taking the first
bleem!PAKs for a spin. Keep an eye on GF! for more bleemcast! coverage.

Thanks for reading!

Junior,

That's kind of a tough question. There are so many different kinds of game
enhancers that it's really tough to say exactly how yours works. I've done
some serious web searching, and can't turn anything up. I know that most
game enhancers work by plugging into the serial port in the back of your
PlayStation. They usually have a little spring thingy with them, and that
goes inside the cover of the PlayStation. If you look, there's a little
prong in the rear right underside of the CD cover, and it pushes a little
button below. You put the spring on that prong and pushing down on the
button so the machine doesn't know the lid is opened. Then you usually have
to boot with an American PSX game. You'll usually get a menu screen where
you can enter codes, access memory cards, and whatnot, and the disc will
stop spinning. Before pressing start you swap in your import title. That
should get you set up.

Now, like I said, there are a lot of different kinds of game enhancers out
there, so I can't give really specific directions. There are many sites that
sell game enhancers, and most of them have online directions for use
(usually when you buy one of these things they don't come with any
directions). At www.therage.com they have a game enhancer FAQ that tells you
general usage for many kinds of game enhancers. You can get that here.

Hopefully that helps a little. Good luck getting DBZ to run!

Take care,

Shawn

The X-Box is the new console system from Microsoft, due out next summer.
It's comparable to the PS2 and Dolphin, but it isn't necessarily better or
worse... just different. It looks pretty exciting, and we can't wait to get
our hands on one. You can check out our preview here:

And keep reading GF! for more X-Box coverage. We will be previewing and
reviewing games for the system.

Take it easy,

Thanks a lot, man. And thanks for writing. Yes, the PS2 can play PlayStation
(PSX) games, too, and it can also use PSX controllers, Multi-Tap and memory
cards. And it plays DVDs. The release date is October 26, 2000, so not too
far away now. You can get a more complete rundown of all the PS2 details in
our article, which is located here:
http://www.gamesfirst.com/articles/shawn/sony_final/ps2release.htm

Or, if you want, you can click on the PS2 Details link on the Articles page.

Thanks for reading GF!, and stay tuned for all kinds of great new PS2
coverage.

Take it easy,

Shawn
