This is a well done port of an excellent game. Despite some minor issues related to a slight lack of visual polish and a few technical quirks, GTA: San Andreas has survived the translation from Playstation very nicely.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences have awarded their 6th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards. Battlefield 1942 took home 4 awards, making it the big winner. Yu Suzuki, creator of Outrun, Virtua Fighter, Shenmue, and a lot more games, took his place in the Hall of Fame. Other winners include Metroid Prime, Splinter Cell, Animal Crossing, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Eternal Darkness, Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and more. Rockstar brings us the long awaited next installment in the GTA series, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It does a whole lot of things right, but it isn\'t as revolutionary as GTA3, and, frankly, we\'re disappointed with the direction in which the series is heading.
