While we here in Seattle get to watch the Mariners crumble in what was a pretty decent year, we also get front page Microsoft news, regularly. Today, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer
reported that the European Court of First Instance, in a move upholding key elements of the March 2004 European Commission Decision, declared the American company responsible for misusing it\'s Windows monopoly. Specifically, the company packages Windows Media Player with their Windows software,
a la trojan
horse, allowing market dominance of the software. Microsoft to EU court: \"the decision on the Media Player opens a dangerous precedent for other companies and sectors. Airbus should start worrying about adding new features to their planes.\"
game: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
news | 04/07/06 | Aaron Stanton
A post from Bethesda Softworks in the official Oblivion forums indicates that not only will the next downloadable mod for Elder Scrolls IV be a full quest, it will also be less expensive than the Horse Armor modification currently available. A quest called The Orrery is expected to be available within the next week, and will include a new location (the Imperial Orrery in the Arcane University), new rewards, and new powers that are based on the phases of the moon. The better content for the price will hopefully help lessen player concerns that Bethesda intends to offer minor modifications at high prices. Unlike individual items, a quest is something that might be worth paying for. Hopefully.
game: Gun
review | 11/26/05 | Shawn Rider
Neversoft\'s latest offering diverges greatly from their history with the Tony Hawk franchise. Gun is a wild western that puts you in the role of Colton White as he hunts for the man who murdered his father. This is a gritty action game with plenty of awesome shootouts and gorey mutilations, and it\'s definitely something that anyone who loves Unforgiven or Deadwood ought to check out. But can Gun win over gamers to become the baddest disc your box has ever slotted? Shawn takes it for a ride and lets you know in his commplete review.
game: Xbox 360
news | 11/12/05 | Aaron Stanton
Microsoft has released an initial list of Xbox games that will be supported for emulation on Xbox 360. We know Halo and Halo 2 will be featured (and it\'s rumored that they will sport some kind of extra buffs and/or graphical polish), but what else can we expect? Just to save you some time and alleviate your worries, we\'re glad to confirm the following titles are on the supported games list: Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue, Circus Maximus, BMX XXX, and the entire Cabela\'s Xbox catalog. So you\'re pretty much covered.
game: GUN
news | 10/06/05 | Shawn Rider
I don\'t even like westerns, but I love Deadwood. The grimy, gritty Old West environment, teetering between nature and civilization, lends itself to some gripping drama and high adventure. Plus, there\'s plenty of cursing. So I get very interested when I hear that Neversoft, one of my fave game developers, has also been watching Deadwood, and has created an entire game based in the Wild West, with the goal of expanding the open-play scenerio beyond cops and robbers. GUN will come out this Fall for Xbox, PS2 and Xbox 360. We\'ve got some XB360 screen here and a bit more about the game.

We've been looking for a way to answer everybody's questions about bleem! For Dreamcast, and figured what better way to do so than to go straight to the horse's mouth, so to speak. The makers of bleem! have been gracious enough to allow us to post their FAQ on GamesFirst! With so many rumors spreading around the Web, it can be hard to get the straight facts about this exciting new version of the "best little emulator ever made." So here you go the real deal:
