Click to read.Guilty Gear Judgement is the second title from the 2D fighting series set for release this Spring. This time, developer Arc System Works will take the series to Sony\'s powerful PSP handheld. Guilty Gear Judgement is actually a two-fer: The disc will include both Guilty Gear X2 # Reload, which has been out since 2004 for Xbox, as well as an original side-scrolling adventure game, Guilty Gear Judgement. That\'s a lot of gameplay in a handheld package, and with WiFi cooperative multiplayer and versus modes, Guilty Gear Judgement on PSP could be the Guilty Gear title to choose.

Guilty Gear X2 # Reload features 23 characters from the series, and includes the standard arcade, versus, and survival modes. The series is known for its great art style, heavy metal soundtrack, and fast-paced, chaotic action. Guilty Gear X2 # Reload should arrive on the PSP unaltered from its home console counterpart.

Guilty Gear Judgement is a side-scrolling adventure game that features 20 Guilty Gear characters. Players can play alone or with the help of a friend via the PSP\'s WiFi ability. The storylines presented in Judgement fill out the background on a number of characters.

While it\'s unclear exactly how much of the fighting game mechanics will appear in Judgement, we do know that at least some special moves will make the transition. Majesco has also informed us that a revamped controller scheme in Judgement will make it easier to execute combos in Judgement.

Judgement should not be seen as just another mini-game adventure mode, as we\'ve seen with other fighting games: Judgement features 18 levels of side-scrolling beat-em-up action. While the DS version of Guilty Gear (Guilty Gear Dust Strikers) will experiment with very vertical levels and gameplay experiments, the PSP version packs not only some classic Guilty Gear gameplay, but also an action side-scroller.

Guilty Gear Judgement is on-track for a Spring 2006 release.
