game: Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus
preview | 06/06/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
The cel-shading technique is bringing a whole lot of games to life in a cartoony and appealing way. Sly Cooper and the Thievous Raccoonus is no exception. It looks like a cartoon and plays like a mixture of MGS and Mario. Sound like fun? Get more right here.

Xbox Controller S Review (Xbox)
review | 06/01/02 | Shawn Rider
Microsoft really does love us. They love us so much that they listened when the gamers said they hated the Xbox controller. Nintendo WaveBird Preview (GC)

Second, it\'s never been quite up to snuff, and controller cutouts in the middle of your game suck, too. But count on Nintendo to do it right later this month. Click here.

Which Console Should I Buy?
Articles Archive | 06/01/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
About a dozen times a day I get an email asking me which console someone should buy. A complete stranger expects me to be able to tell them right off the cuff where to put their $200. I feel a lot of responsibility to our readers, so I often write long letters asking what games they like, who the console is for, etc. (I do get a lot of letters from moms and dads asking which console system to purchase for their children.) Every year at the Electronic Entertainment Expo we get to see the lay of the land, and I was hoping that a clear answer to the quandry of which console to invest in would manifest itself. It's both good and bad that there is still no clear winner in the console wars.
