Due November 2001 for GBA.
Sonic is back, and this time the GBA supports old-school Sonic action like we haven’t seen since his Genesis days. Sonic Advance marks the first departure from a Sega system for everyone’s favorite hedgehog, and promises to bring 2D action unlike any ever seen to Nintendo’s new handheld. The game runs smoothly and, as we all expect, it is blindingly fast.
The story revolves around Sonic (along with Tails, Knuckles, and Amy) working to stop the evil Dr. Robotnik who is up to something diabolical. That means the story mode isn’t anything new, but it does feature all new levels, puzzles and traps. This isn’t just a recycled Genesis title. You can also play as any of Sonic’s friends, so you’ll be able to zip around as Tails, Knuckles, or Amy. Multiplayer will be supported with modes like Battle and Chaos Emerald Hunt.
Keep an eye out for Sonic on the GBA as he celebrates both the unprecedented move to a new platform and his 10th anniversary. This title will undoubtedly be a popular GBA title this November.
