Superman may be one of the top superheroes in the superheroing business, but in videogames he has a spotty record at best. However, EA and their Tiburon studio is set to return the Man of Steel to glory (and, coincidentally tie-in with the latest Superman film, which, you know, out to bode well, right?). With some definitely next-gen visuals, Superman looks pretty, but can he back up his sexy little spit curl with a solid game experience? Overall, Sony's PlayStation 3 area was pathetic (and less crowded than we've ever seen at the Sony booth since 1999). Other than anti-aliasing issues, wonky early builds, and (at best) 360-quality graphics, there wasn't much to talk about. Except one thing: Sony did surprise everyone by announcing a me-too technology that adds tilt-sensitivity to the PS3 controller. How did that work out? Well, Jeremy took some time with the showcase title for the new tilt-controls, Warhawk, a flight combat game that shows how any new control element, no matter how small, can make a moderate game kind of sort of fun. Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Sonic contained the same features and levels. The difference between the games is where one would expect it to be-the graphics. However, the version with the best graphics is not the "powerhouse" PlayStation 3. Our man, Rob, runs down how the first next-gen Sonic title is coming along, and finds one of the most grievous examples of PS3 comparing unfavorably with the Xbox 360.

Saint's Row comes off as another GTA clone just trying to cash in on the current fads: Gangstas + Free Roaming Play = $$$. But for some reason, it has taken the interest of Mr. RJ Brooks here on the GF! Staff. What is it? The crazy customizable gangster looks? The street cred imported through story advisors with gang affiliations? Nah, it's just the sucker-punching civvies as you car-jack them. That's gotta be it. Ubisoft brings us another military-themed First Person Shooter, Haze, which there obviously aren't nearly enoug of these days... But Haze feels a bit different, too. Charged with some serious political satire, Haze gets you all tied up with Mantel Global's corporate mercenaries in the ongoing war for democracy. Expect plenty of drugged-up supersoldiers and some tricky ethical decisions, two things we'd like to see a lot more of in the FPS genre. Get Blaine's full preview here.

Microsoft has been scooping up some of the most promising international talent in game development, and Real Time Worlds is no exception. Headed by David Jones, former head of the (in)famous DMA Studios, who created the Grand Theft Auto series, Real Time Worlds has produced a second-gen Xbox 360 title that exemplifies where next-gen gaming can go. Crackdown offers free-roaming free-play augmented by incredibly interactive environments and totally futuristic social gaming features. Check out Robert's review here.

As if Nintendo fans didn't have enough of a hard time: Now their fave franchise will have them twirling and striking with a Wii li'l controller as they shepherd everyone's fave elven man-boy on to victory. Twilight Princess now supports the Wii controller awesomeness that both helps you immerse yourself in the fantasy experience, and helps you look even less cool while playing video games. Atlus looks to recreate the success of their landmark Nintendo DS title, Trauma Center: Under the Knife, with the Wii-specific sequel, Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Using the "revolutionary" Wii controller, Second Opinion sticks with the same kind of 21st-Century-Operation gameplay that made the original such a hit. George got a chance to sit down with Atlus and discover more about this highly anticipated sequel.

Enchanted Arms is one of the few Japanese-developed games coming to American Xbox 360s this year. Already out in the JP, we know it's a solid RPG with traditional elements and sparkly graphics. But can it offer up that something special that Xbox owners crave? Our man, Matt James, took on the great golems of Enchanted Arms, and he did fare well (although not so well at getting a chuckle out of those stoic From Software reps). Will Wright's Spore is a hot topic. Due for any platform that will run it at some point in the indeterminate future (you know how these uber-game projects go...), Spore offers, literally, the whole universe in a game. Begin as a jelly little protozoa and work your way through the state of nature, early tribes, civilized urban life, and finally interstellar exploration and mayhem-making.
