Activision will give us another installment in the venerable Tenchu series. Tenchu 3: Wrath of Heaven continues the story of Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, putting you back into the shoes of Ayame and Rikimaru. It looks cool, packs a load of new features, and let's hope it contains lots of cheesy translations. Click here.

game: Halo 2
Microsoft and Bungie are at it again, and they've finally copped to a sequel of one of the biggest games of last year. HALO 2 promises online multiplayer support, a focus on squad-based tactics, a larger arsenal of weapons, and a whole lot more of what we loved in the first place. Get the preview here.

Sony's betting big money on SOCOM: US Navy Seals, and from what we've seen, it's a safe bet. The game is being pushed as an online multiplayer title, but the single player game is really great already. Nice AI, team strategizing, serious realism, and just plain fun gameplay should get it on your list of ways to avoid homework. Click here.

game: Gladius
LucasArts decided to take a fantasy-oriented route with Gladius, which pits you against gladiators in arenas from Rome to Hades, but the liberties they've taken should only disappoint those Classics majors and Roman Empire buffs. The rest of us might enjoy hurling fireballs at our foes. In an RPG-style strategy type game. Sounds fun.

Ubi Soft and Wolf Pack Studios have teamed up on a seriously ambitious MMORPG. Shadowbane promises to put players in control of a world and have that world stay interesting and dynamic. Impossible? Maybe. But playing characters with wings is pretty dang sweet. Click here for a thorough rundown.

Crave brings us a way cool combination of space and planet based first person shooter. Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter creates a seamless world where you chase down bounties, cap on aliens, fly around several different spaceships, and generally rule the universe. So far there isn't a downside to this one. Click for more.

game: Shinobi
He kills silently and bounces off walls like loonies in the nuthouse. Nope, it's not Tiny Twisted Metal Bumper Cars or Tenchu Stealth Maniacs -- this is even better. Shinobi returns for another slash at the videogame market, and thank goodness. Anyone who has touched the beauty of the classic arcade game knows that a new Shinobi adventure is a very, very good thing. Click here.

It seems like everyone these days wants to get out the old Indy and dust him off. Spielberg has Harrison Ford all lined up for another flick, not due until 2005, and LucasArts returns to the franchise with Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. So far it's looking great, and games might be the perfect vehicle to keep Indy alive and whippin'. Click.

game: Ballerium
Distributed processing and an infinitely expandable world are just two of the technical feats pulled off by small Israeli developer, Majorem, and put to use in Ballerium, a truly massive multiplayer RTS title. Although it's still early in development, our resident MMP expert, Aaron, checked it out. Click here for more.

Gearing up to be a summer action hit at the movie theater, Reign of Fire on the PS2 is looking sweeter than Matthew McConaughey's belt buckle in Dazed and Confused. So if you're looking to mow down some dragons with a load of military might, or if you'd just like to play for the other team, blazing humans as they get in your way, you need to click here.
