Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike Preview (GC)

May 26, 2003

LucasArts and Factor 5 have teamed up once again to bring Star Wars goodness to the Gamecube. But this time it's bigger than ever. Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike packs in the rest of the best scenes from the original trilogy, plus the entire Rogue Leader game is included as a multiplayer co-op extra. If that's not bigger and better, we don't know what is. Click here for more.

The Suffering Preview (Xbox, PS2, GC)

Midway is getting all creepy on us, and not in a cuddly Dr. Muto way. The Suffering is a dark, dark, dark horror adventure game set in a maximum security prison. Definitely for adults, and scary enough to hook our man Matt in the midst of the E3 show floor, this is one game for grownups who have deadbolts on the doors. Click here.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds Preview (Xbox, PS2, GC)

Buffy fans take heart: The series may be over, but you can rekindle the magic with the second Buffy videogame: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds. Featuring many more playable characters from the cast, a range of multiplayer options, and a multiplatform release, this should do the trick. Get your Buffy fix here.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Preview (Xbox, PS2, GC)

Bringing the sidescrolling brawler back after all these years, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looks to be a really wonderful reincarnation of the arcade classic we knew and loved. Of course, this isn't all yesterday's gaming: Featuring voices and animation from the current series, the new TMNT experience should satisfy old fans and the new recruits. Click here for more.

Spider-Man 2 Preview (Xbox, PS2, GC, PC)

Activision is still early in the development of their latest Spider-Man game, Spider-Man 2, which is set to coincide with the release of the second film. This time around, Spidey has access to the streets of Manhattan, and thanks to a liberal dose of THPS4-style mission assignment, he now takes on side missions for a much more robust gaming challenge. If you enjoyed the last game, then this one should be on your list. Click!

Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy Preview (PC, Xbox)

May 24, 2003

After Jedi Outcast, both PC and console gamers are drooling over the latest installment of the Jedi Knight series. Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy opens up a whole new world of interactive Jedi goodness. One of our many resident Star Wars nuts, Jeremy, has brought back all the dirt on this stellar sequel. Click here for the preview.

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel Preview (Xbox, PS2)

Among PC gamers, the Fallout series is viewed as one of the greatest, and with good reason. Interplay now hopes to bring the trademark humor and attractive gameplay of Fallout to the console with Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. Build on the BG:DA engine, the gameplay has been overhauled for the consoles. Click here for more.

Futurama Preview (Xbox, PS2, GC)

FOX Broadcasting is pending for a bending after announcing a Fall schedule devoid of Futurama. Fortunately, Futurama, the game, will be hitting stores in August, and that makes us rabid fans a whole lot happier. Featuring all the voices from the series, written by Futurama writers, and overseen by Matt "da Man" Groening himself, this is one action-adventure platform game we won't miss. Click here.

Savage: The Battle for Newerth Preview (PC)

May 22, 2003

One thing we love about this job is spotting new games from small, unknown companies, that are going to make big, big waves. Say hello to iGames, the publisher, S2, the developer, and Savage: The Battle for Newerth, the RTSFPS that will have you and 63 of your closest friends staying up all night long. This game is innovative, beautiful, and, most importantly, loads of fun. Check it out here.

Nokia N-Gage Preview

May 21, 2003

Nokia has created a gaming device that is set to revolutionize mobile gaming. Featuring a cel phone, wireless connectivity for LAN gaming, an MP3 player, and graphics that look quite nice, the Nokia N-Gage might be the thing that really kicks cel phone gaming into overdrive. Click here.

Editorial: The Truth About the Party Kings

After an E3 full of glamorous parties and hoity hobknobbing, our man Aaron thinks he's figured things out: E3 parties aren't about greasing up the press so they'll write about your latest device. On the contrary, The Truth About the Party Kings is that these events are the real deal revenge of the nerds. And us nerds like it very much. Click here for the editorial.

HALO 2 Preview (Xbox)

May 20, 2003

Microsoft garnered oohs and aahs galore with their ultra-tasty demo of HALO 2. Although we couldn't play it on the show floor, the gameplay demo we watched made us wish we could go into stasis just to make the time fly by. You can't pass up the chance to check out our complete preview of 2004's biggest game. Click here.

World of Warcraft Preview (PC)

May 19, 2003

Blizzard made a great showing at E3 this year. World of Warcraft is looking amazing, and that brand new secret playable race has made everyone lose their minds. I'd like to tell you all about how beautiful this game is and how much fun it will be to play, but I'll leave that to Todd in his thorough preview. Click here for the scoop.

PlayStation Personal Preview

Sony surprised all of us by announcing a handheld gaming system. Only the basic hardware specs have been announced, but it's clear that the PlayStation Personal (PSP) will be a formidable challenge to the Game Boy's dominance. Click here.
