How To Maximize the Media with the Xbox 360
game: Xbox 360
how-to | 11/20/05 | Shawn Rider
The Xbox is amazing for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is a whole raft of new multimedia capabilities. Now all media playback is handled by the system, which means you can overlay your custom soundtrack on any game you\'d like. Connect to other PCs on your home network, or to portable devices including PSP and iPod, and you can stream music right into your games. And if you have a PC with Windows Media Center Edition 2005, then the Xbox 360 becomes the hub of your media life: live television, recorded shows, and playback of videos from your PC are just some of the features in the new Xbox 360.

Infected: Unlockable Characters Announced
news | 10/19/05 | Laurie Taylor
Majesco has announced several exciting unlockable characters for Infected, the fast-paced shooter for the PSP. Announced unlockable characters for Infected include Bloodrayne and members of Slipknot. Given Infected\'s gruesome gameplay footage that mixes horror and Christmas, and given Infected\'s rocking soundtrack with several tracks from Slipknot, Infected is shaping up to be a major November release. We\'ll still have to see how Infected shapes up in light of World of Warcraft\'s adventures in virtual plagues, but it looks like it will be a great game and an important game for the PSP.

Brand New Perfect Dark Zero Screen, Music, Bio
game: Perfect Dark Zero
news | 09/30/05 | Shawn Rider
Perfect Dark Zero has so far been one of the most enigmatic Xbox 360 launch titles. After showing us glimpses of 50 player multiplayer on their MTV Xbox 360 unveiling, we expected to see PDZ at E3. But it wasn\'t there. It was at Tokyo Game Show, and we recently posted some links to some shakey-cam footage of PDZ gameplay which has us all debating the relative greatness potential for the game. Details are still slow to come out about Perfect Dark Zero, but we have one screen and an MP3 of one of the music tracks from the game to pass on.

Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi Review
game: Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi Review
review | 10/31/03 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Chances are good that you're a little tired of the sci-fi warrior waxes alien/demon/mutant FPS routine (but you've saved a space for Halo 2 of course). Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi looks to add a little fear into your gaming environment, via creepy visuals, haunting soundtrack, and a goodly dose of the undead. What's more, you can sport a musket loader, cup of holy water, a trusty wooden stake, and more. If your holiday season needs more undead, click right here.

Jet Grind Radio
game: Jet Grind Radio

Take the DC version of Jet Grind Radio, shrink it down, clip the soundtrack a bit, and snip the graf editor, and you've got yourself Jet Grind Radio for the GBA. It's impressive how well the game holds together in the handheld format. Click here for the review.

Planetside Review
game: Planetside
review | 08/10/03 | Aaron Stanton
Sony Online Entertainment looks to build a great sci-fi MMORPG with Planetside. This epic game features tactical squad-based action, loads of vehicles, amazingly cool weapons and items, and one of the best soundtracks we\'ve heard. But that\'s not all.

GTA: Vice City and Official Soundtrack
game: GTA: Vice City
review | 12/20/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Rockstar brings us the long awaited next installment in the GTA series, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It does a whole lot of things right, but it isn\'t as revolutionary as GTA3, and, frankly, we\'re disappointed with the direction in which the series is heading. Of course, the soundtrack is amazing, so we reviewed the Vice City Official Soundtrack Box Set, too. Click here.
