While we here in Seattle get to watch the Mariners crumble in what was a pretty decent year, we also get front page Microsoft news, regularly. Today, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer
reported that the European Court of First Instance, in a move upholding key elements of the March 2004 European Commission Decision, declared the American company responsible for misusing it\'s Windows monopoly. Specifically, the company packages Windows Media Player with their Windows software,
a la trojan horse, allowing market dominance of the software. Microsoft to EU court: \"the decision on the Media Player opens a dangerous precedent for other companies and sectors. Airbus should start worrying about adding new features to their
planes.\"

Steambot Chronicles is the newest Atlus release for the PS2, allowing players to do anything from farming to ferrying to fighting, all on the back of a two-legged transport robot called a Trotmobile. This is definitely not your traditional console roleplaying game. Non-linear gameplay and amazing diversity of things to do has kept our gal, Amanda, busy defeating evil and buskering for UR. game: Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII

Ubisoft\'s Blazing Angels has a lot to overcome: It\'s another WWII game, and there was a little game for the original Xbox called Crimson Skies that made \"a bit\" of a splash. Fortunately, it has some spectacular graphics, and the air combat focus opens up parts of the war that are generally not exploited. Still, there are some flaws, and Blazing Angels has proven to be a tricky evaluation for our man, Matt. Check out his review here.

Our guy in the sky, Thomas, returns to give us the lowdown on the latest installment of Microsoft\'s venerable WWII flight sim franchise. Combat Flight Simulator 3 packs in a load of new planes, a new dynamic mission system, and some improved ground-level graphics. Sure, racing souped-up airplanes at really low altitudes through Nevada canyons sounds extreme, but Xtreme Air Racing manages to tone down the heart-pumping thrills and focus on the fairly cerebral simulation. It\'s kind of like reading a Sex Ed textbook unless you\'re really into aircraft simulations. Click here.

Sammy breaks out with a new take on the combat flight sim. Lethal Skies Elite Pilot: Team SW offers some cool flying with a cool backstory, but ends up pulling short just before the runway. Some cool graphical effects aren\'t enough to make this one rise above the rest of the genre. Click here.
