game: The Simpsons Game
review | 04/06/08 | Shawn Rider
The Simpsons are a perennial videogame topic. Many of the games created in the franchise are utterly forgettable. (Anyone up for a round of Simpsons Wrestling? Didn\'t think so...) But there have been a few well-done Simpsons games: Simpsons Hit and Run (a GTA clone) and The Simpsons Road Rage (a Crazy Taxi clone) were both enjoyable. The Simpsons Game isn\'t a direct rip-off of any particular game. It sticks to a platform/action approach and uses the whole world of videogames for its satirical fodder. The result is a Simpsons game that may be slightly less polished in terms of gameplay but is easily the game that feels most like a real Simpsons episode. Check out our review for more.
game: Guilty Gear Judgement
news | 01/31/06 | Shawn Rider
Guilty Gear Judgement is the second Guilty Gear title set for release this Spring. This time, developer Arc System Works will take the series to Sony\'s powerful PSP handheld. Guilty Gear Judgement is actually a two-fer: The disc will include both Guilty Gear X2 # Reload, which has been out since 2004 for Xbox, as well as an original side-scrolling adventure game, Guilty Gear Judgement. That\'s a lot of gameplay in a handheld package, and with WiFi cooperative multiplayer and versus modes, Guilty Gear Judgement on PSP could be the Guilty Gear title to choose.
game: We Love Katamari
review | 09/26/05 | Shawn Rider
We Love Katamari. And we mean that. The sequel to last year\'s runaway cult fave Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari brings a whole new visual style to the table, but plenty of the same quirky style, sense of humor, and awesome roll-it-up gameplay we love. This time out you can also enjoy the rolling with a friend: The multiplayer cooperative gameplay is incredible. There is nothing else like Katamari, so you\'ve got to check this out.

This mobile space combat action game will allow up to eight player deathmatches and the formation of \"cliques\" for online cooperative play. Sounds fun. game: Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
review | 06/28/02 | Jeremy Kauffman
Another installment in the Starfighter series, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter manages to make some good additions to the franchise but doesn\'t really make this one feel like an entirely new game. Sure, there are cool Force powers and new ships to fly, but it all feels very familiar. Thank goodness for the cooperative story mode. Click.
game: Brute Force
preview | 06/15/02 | Jeremy Kauffman
Microsoft and Digital Anvil have teamed up on a squad-based combat game that should have HALO fans wetting their pants. Brute Force allows you and up to three friends to play a cooperative story mode or just deathmatch the heck out of each other. Great visuals and lots of cool details make it one to watch for. Click!
