Carcassonne XBLA Review
game: Carcassonne
review | 07/11/07 | Chris Martin
Hot on the heels of Settlers of Catan, which invaded XBLA last month, Carcassonne, the board game based on the fortified city in France of the same name, comes to Xbox Live Arcade in a very worthy package. While slightly pricy at 800 microsoft points, Carcassonne is an excellent strategy game for up to 4 people locally, or 5 over Xbox Live, although you\'ll find it best with only two or three.

feature | 01/29/06 | Aaron Stanton
Ever since the fan-created make of King\'s Quest IX was saved from the falling axe, some of us here at GamesFirst have been craving the days when adventure games ruled the PC. Sierra Online Entertainment was one of the biggest boys around, and games like Space Quest, King\'s Quest, and The Dagger of Amon Ra ruled the land. But how do these games stack up now? Thanks to a company that ports EGA classics into free, download-able VGA environments, you can find out for yourself. Surf over to AGDinteractive.com. If you\'ve never heard of them before, you\'ll be glad we pointed you in their direction.

Spyro: Shadow Legacy
game: Spyro: Shadow Legacy
review | 11/17/05 | Laurie Taylor
Spyro: Shadow Realm is more than a little shady. In fact, it\'s all we can do to keep from making a dragon-doo joke. But this one is for the kids, so let\'s keep it clean. Spyro: Shadow Legacy is a deeply flawed game, with unfinished, glitchy gameplay. It doesn\'t take long for the game to get repetitive, and the fact that half of the game is just the first half with a different color palette doesn\'t help. Check Laurie\'s review for the lowdown on Spyro: Shadow Legacy.

game: Ground Control 2: Operation Exodus
preview | 05/27/04 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
For fans of the original and the uninitiated alike, Ground Control 2 from Sierra looks like it1s going to a title worth watching. Featuring beautiful graphics, good story, and co-op play, Ground Control 2 sounds like it's got it all. See what our man Blaine has to say after a little time hands on at E3.

James Cameron Dark Angel Review
game: Dark Angel
review | 02/16/03 | Monica Hafer
It kind of seems like they quit working on James Cameron\'s Dark Angel when the television series was cancelled. That\'s too bad, because this is almost a good game. The fighting engine is deep, but overall shallowness of plot and gameplay makes this one for the DA fans and not many more. Click here.

Sierra and Vivendi Universal bring us a the followup to the hit spy shooter of 2000, No One Lives Forever. No One Lives Forever Review (PS2)
game: No One Lives Forever
review | 07/03/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Sierra brings its classic FPS franchise to the PS2, and all we can say is that Cate deserved better. No One Lives Forever is a disappointing console port, right along the lines of Half Life for the PS2. You can\'t beat the story and some of the gameplay in NOLF, but it is severely flawed. LOTR: The Two Towers Preview (PS2, GBA)
game: LOTR: The Two Towers
preview | 06/11/02 | Monica Hafer
The Lord of the Rings franchise has been fractured -- games are coming out from both Sierra and EA. EA has the movie license, and that will make all the difference. So far The Two Towers looks amazing, what with the hordes of orcs to cut down and the incredible interplay of film footage and game graphics. Click here to be amazed.

EDITORIAL - Best PC Titles of E3 2000
| 01/01/00 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
After digging ourselves out from under the digital press kits and betas, here are what we think will the top dozen games of 2000. But first, a few caveats: we chose not to include any of the games that we chose as best of show for last year--that means that some excellent games--like Shogun, Diablo II, Deus Ex, Giants, and Oni-- will not be listed below. And we also decided not to include a few most excellent games that will be released in the very near future--including Sierra\'s Ground Control and Activisions\' Vampire: The Masquerade and Dark Reign 2.
