City Life Review
game: City Life
review | 07/15/06 | George Holomshek
CDV and developer Monte Cristo bring us City Life, a new take on the city sim with City Life. As Mr. Wright moves on to managing the galaxy, what are we to do as mere mortals who are probably reaching a bit too far to even imagine ourselves as \"mayoral material?\" The big new hook is a social awareness aspect that makes it necessary to manage neighborhoods and social class to spice up your urban planning fantasies. If you\'re in the mood for another stab at building your metropolis, check out George\'s review here.

UberSoldier! Review
game: UberSoldier
review | 05/01/06 | Tristan Mayshark
If the slow pacing of FPS titles like Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 put you off, UberSoldier might be able to offer a more mindless and action oriented experience at a budget price. Some players will think it\'s a wonderful excursion from the tedious, and some players will quite reasonably hate it. For the former group, this zombie-filled WWII shooter is worth the $29 that you\'ll put down at your local video game store. It embodies old-school first person shooting, executing the genre tried-and-true without all that complicated crap like an interesting plot.

Preview - Lula 3D
game: Lula 3D

Lula 3D is an early release in the coming wave of adult-oriented semi-mainstream games. Featuring a wacky adventure story and gameplay, not unlike the Leisure Suit Larry series, Lula 3D put gamers in the role of Lula, a porn director who must solve the mystery of her missing stars. Follow Lula on a trail of clues that will have her traversing America in search of porn stars and lewd humor. George is on top of this one, so to speak, and offers up this complete preview.

Hammer & Sickle Review
game: Hammer & Sickle
review | 12/05/05 | Sean Hilliard
Hammer & Sickle is the latest turn-based RPG to hit store shelves. Does it stand up next to previous hits like Fallout and KOTOR? Do Soviets really have more fun? Are a hammer and sickle in-game weapons? Is Rambo cool enough to merit his own skill set? Or should this game just be nuked? Find out in Sean\'s full review.

EDITOR\'S NOTE: Our initial version of this review featured some inaccurate information about the character classes available in H&S. We have since corrected our review, and we apologize for any confusion this error may have caused.

Blitzkrieg 2 Review
game: Blitzkrieg 2
review | 10/25/05 | Blaine Krumpe
CDV\'s Blitzkrieg 2 is a hardcore grognard\'s dream: RTS gameplay simulations of famous WWII battles. Playing as either an American, Russian or German commander, you make the decisions about where and how to deploy your land, air or sea ordinance. The 3D graphics engine makes for some pretty explosions, and the rag doll physics makes the battle truly brutal. Visceral and complex, Blitzkrieg 2 is a must-play for any WWII buffs or RTS fans.

Divine Divinity Review
game: Divine Divinity
review | 11/01/02 | GF! Back Catalogue 10/2004 => 1995
Larian Studios and CDV have teamed up to bring us what is probably the sleeper PC RPG hit of the year. Divine Divinity doesn\'t blaze a lot of new trails, but it does offer one of the most satisfying, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable gameplay experiences we\'ve had. RPG fans cannot miss this one.
