I should have started worrying the instant we got to the hotel and the clerk informed us they were having trouble with their Internet service. Their wireless network was going up and down, but they assured us it would be fixed quickly. To help support the claim, the fellow called the tech support people and complained about it right there in front of us. It was a sign. During these last three days of E3 our crew has been limited to using 1 computer for their Internet access. 1 computer, 9 people, and the quality of the connection was certainly questionable. Apparently the flood of tech-savvy E3 visitors was more than the system could handle. It might help if the computer-to-human ratio were not something like 3 to 1.

Yesterday\'s tour of the E3 show floor was very successful. Before leaving the hotel that morning, I\'d declared that I was not going to leave the Media room; I was going to sit there and write and post and hack other press people\'s unprotected computers over the wireless network (don\'t be too surprised if you find the sentence, Read GF! in the middle of some random publication\'s upcoming article). I didn\'t even really see the media room. I was having all sorts of a time running around the floor.

As for hacking people\'s systems, I might just be kidding, but people seriously need to be more careful. You wouldn\'t believe the number of press that logged into the wireless without any form of hacking protection; there were at least a few that had their root directories shared publicly on the network at our hotel. Had we been evil, we had access to the articles they were writing, backup copies of other people\'s websites, everything. People should be more careful. We could have tested how well a number of fairly established publications copy-edit their work.

I also had a fairly interesting unplanned interview Michael Ironside yesterday, and a much more interesting interview with a fellow named Dan, who is the producer of their upcoming game and TV series. It was far more interesting than I expected, honestly. You\'ll get more details about that as soon as we get home to a more reliable Internet connection.

In the mean time, there are a number of projects I still want to check out on the show floor, and I\'m eating up E3 time. After the show, the crew is hitting Star Wars tonight. Sweet.
