Click to read. The Sex in Video Games Conference will be held in San Francisco June 8-9 at the Nob Hill Masonic Center, San Francisco, CA. The conference theme is \"Exploring the Business of Digital Erotic Entertainment,\" which sounds totally not sexy to us. But the conference gains clout thanks to the involvement of Brenda Brathwaite, Game Designer and Founder and Chair of the International Game Developers Association\'s Sexuality SIG.

According to the official press release, currently announced lectures include \"Sex in Games: Where are We Now?\" by Brenda Brathwaite, \"The Future of Sex and Technology\" by Dave Taylor, Game Producer and Game Consultant, and Programmer on DOOM and Quake among others, and \"The Making of the SeXbox: Applied Hardware\" by Kyle Machulis, a robotics engineer and founder of Slashdong.org and MMOrgy.com. Panels include \"Designing Successful Online Erotic Games,\" \"Creating a Massively Multiplayer Online Erotic Game,\" and, focusing on the international success of the hentai market, \"Integrating International AO Success into the US Market.\"

The conference is oriented towards both the developers and the suits: Many of the lectures will focus on technical issues, interactivity and design, but the conference is also advertising a strong emphasis on business networking and matchmaking. The Sex in Videog Games Conference is planned as an annual event and seen by many as the true beginning of an interactive adult entertainment market.

Game developer, Dave Taylor, says, \"This conference is long overdue. The staggering progress in PC rendering and simulation technology that has been relentlessly driven by the game industry for years is now poised to turn the entire adult entertainment industry on its ear.\"

Suzanne Freyjadis-Chuberka, is the President of Evergreen Events, which is producing the conference. She agrees with Taylor that there is much untapped potential in a collaboration between mainstream game technologies and adult entertainment producers. By focusing the event on mating technologies and content, Freyjadis-Chuberka hopes to \"enable both the game industry as well as the adult entertainment industry to develop a more mature perspective on Adults Only games as well as ways to grow that segment of the industry.\"

More information about the first annual Sex in Video Games Conference can be found on the official website.
