Microsoft has announced that the Xbox 360 will be sold in two different packages, with the primary difference being whether or not there\'s a hard drive. Now, many in the gaming community are asking themselves if the extra hundred dollars is worth the mass media storage or not. We sit down to go over what the hard drive will give you, why you should care, and if it\'s for you. Pulling from a number of different sources, including interviews with members of the industry in the know, we do our best to make the decision easy for you. A 2nd (and better) Xbox 360 Unveiling
Articles Archive | 05/13/05 | Aaron Stanton
The MTV Xbox 360 unveiling that took place last night was a bit of a let-down for most of us here at GamesFirst. The show was catchy, with lots of scene cuts, music, and cheering crowds, but revealed almost nothing about the actual system. While it confirmed a few rumors that have been floating around, it didn't do much else, and every picture of the system came and went too fast to get a good look. There's another Xbox 360 unveiling video though, and it's available on the web. This second video is well put together and offers a better look at the actual system.

Galaxies Ablaze
game: Galaxies Ablaze
review | 03/29/05 | Blaine Krumpe
Galaxies Ablaze is a unique indy game that focuses on deep strategic and tactical gameplay. Hardcore sci-fi grognards and serious RTS fans should check this one out, and it's free, so it's easy to do that. But with the focus placed on gameplay and a serious lack of graphical game feedback, this is not one for the casual fan or anyone looking for pretty pictures.

Xitel SoundAROUND
game: Xitel SoundAROUND
review | 03/27/05 | Aaron Stanton
Xitel's SoundAROUND is a nifty little device with big claims. The SoundAROUND attempts to create a rich 3D surround sound environment capable of competing with a 5.1 speaker system, but using only two speakers. At the same time that it tries to trick your brain into hearing sounds from behind you when there are no sounds there, it ups the bass without overdriving your speakers. Is it magic? Does it work? Read our review to see how well the actual unit compares to the one Xitel advertises.
