DS Lite Unveiled
game: Nintendo DS
news | 01/29/06 | George Holomshek
Nintendo has a history of redesigning and refining technology every couple of years. So it was just a matter of time before big N decided to redesign the Nintendo DS (and don\'t be surprised to see another redesign in two years, but that\'s just our prediction). After a bit of he-said/she-said melodrama, Nintendo has released concrete details about the new Nintendo DS Lite, which is exactly like a Nintendo DS except smaller and cuter. George has nailed down the details here, including the nasty rumors that the smaller size has come at a sacrifice to GBA compatability. Get the full story here.

news | 01/27/06 | Shawn Rider
Sega sends word that Full Auto has officially gone gold. This announcement coincides with the release of a bunch of new screens, which we\'re featuring here, and an Xbox Live demo, which we\'ve downloaded and raged through. The verdict is still out on this one-- the demo is a bit skimpy, and we haven\'t gotten a lot of time with it yet. In the meantime, check out these new screens and get the details on this chaotic action racer in our recent preview. All of which lies behind this link.

Half-Life 2 Review
game: Half-Life 2
review | 01/09/06 | Shawn Rider
One of the great things about Half-Life 2 was the way it scaled to different levels of machine. On a high-end PC it was amazingly beautiful, and on a more regular rig it was still very enjoyable. So you\'d think that the Xbox port of Half-Life 2 would be pretty much awesome: At least as good as the mid-range PC experience. And, for the most part, you\'d be right, as long as \"awesome\" includes a gazillion load screens and the stickiest doorways we\'ve seen in ages. How does it all turn out? Check Shawn\'s review for the details.

Philips Entertaible Debuts at CES
game: Philips Entertaible
preview | 01/05/06 | Shawn Rider
Philips has a crazy idea: Put a 30\" touch sensitive LCD monitor into a sturdy wooden table, make some digital-smarty pawns and dice, and let game developers go crazy on a hybrid digital and real-world based console platform. But it\'s more than a crazy idea: It\'s the Entertaible, and it\'s being shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show 2006. The Entertaible is set to redefine board games and brings us multiplayer touch-oriented gaming. If touching is good by yourself, it must be even better in a group. Get the details on the Philips Entertaible in our preview.

NBA 2K6 Review
game: NBA 2K6
review | 12/30/05 | Chris Martin
In the battle of Xbox 360 launch titles, two contenders went head-to-head on the hardwood: NBA Live 06 and NBA 2K6. Chris Martin already reported on NBA Live\'s disappointing performance, but left us dangling on NBA 2K6\'s courtside prowess. So how does the 2K Sports title fare against behemoth EA\'s basketball baby? Rather well. Featuring a lot more material than NBA Live, and prettier graphics, NBA 2K6 is the basketball title to pick up. Check the review for the details.
