EA has announced that they will bring their fantasy strategy title, The Battle for Middle Earth 2 to Xbox 360. The Battle for Middle Earth 2 comes out for PC in February, building on the success of the original. The Xbox 360 version will see a revamp to suit the console controller and will feature Xbox Live multiplayer, bringing serious strategy gaming to the home console for the first time. (No, we\'re not going to count Starcraft for N64 as a legitimate effort.)

Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play is a collection of 21 classic games for PSP. Featuring arcade perfect ports of Spy Hunter, Sinistar, Defender, Paperboy and 720, there are also over a dozen other classic games which have been enhanced to support WiFi multiplayer. These include classics like Gauntlet, Joust and Rampage, but also the cult classics Mortal Kombat I, II, and III. Majesco\'s Infected has been a highly anticipated PSP title around the GF! offices: It has a great features list that includes zombies (big bonus) and online multiplayer (bigger bonus) that allows you to \"infect\" other players with your personalized virus if you can beat them online (mindblowingly cool bonus). But features lists can only tell you so much. After a long time anticipating this title, we were excited to get our grubby little zombie-slaying hands on it. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has developed a campus-wide Wi-Fi service that can track when and where you connect, recording your location for up to 12 hours. It could be the next best thing in multiplayer game matching (find a PSP or DS user nearby to hook up a game), but with cities like San Fransisco and Philadelphia already looking into municipal broadband projects, this sort of technology also raises some serious ethical questions. And after recent news of World of Warcraft\'s \"Warden\" program spying on your computer we\'re worried about these issues coming directly to videogames. Sony\'s massive blowout with spyware, rootkits, and a public backlash that will no doubt severely wound the company, will also affect in some tangential way (at best) PlayStation 3 development and launch. With a great X-Men story, super satisfying action-RPG gameplay, and loads of extras and unlockables, Rise of Apocalypse is one of the best things out for PSP right now.
