Ys: The Ark of Napishtim Review
game: Ys: The Ark of Napishtim
review | 04/02/06 | Matt James
Ys: Ark of Napishtim is the latest iteration of Konami\'s anime-RPG franchise. This time Ys makes its debut on the PSP, bringing a PS2-style traditional RPG experience to the best little PS2 emulator out there. The game makes the transition from home console to portable title fairly well, except for the PSP\'s monstrous load times and a complete lack of any portable-friendly game pacing. Get the good and the bad on Ark of Napishtim in Matt\'s review.

Street Supremacy Review
game: Street Supremacy
review | 03/12/06 | Matt James
With at least three other solid racing games available for the PSP, a racing title has to do something above and beyond good just to stand out on the system. Either that or something really bad. Street Supremacy is now on store shelves and begging for you to give it a go. But is that wise? Here\'s a warning: Speed walking might seem fast paced and high intensity after a few hours strolling down the streets of Supremacy. If you\'re looking for something to make the mundane elements of your life seem interesting and exciting, Street Supremacy might be for you. Read on for details.

The Right Moves: West Virginia Officially Adopts DDR Into Physical Education Curriculum
game: Dance Dance Revolution
editorial | 01/26/06 | Shawn Rider
The state of West Virginia has partnered with game publisher Konami to bring Dance Dance Revolution into hundreds of school physical education programs. The deal will roll out over 700 Dance Dance Revolution arcade machines, beginning with the state\'s 103 middle/junior high schools. The officials are doing the right thing, but they\'re citing the wrong reasons. DDR is not a way to combat the sedentary lifestyle of the youth, it\'s a way to create a modernized physical education curriculum that does what it should: engages students in realistic physical activity. Shawn steps up to the soapbox in this editorial.

Hideo Kojima Joins the Blogosphere
news | 10/22/05 | Shawn Rider
Hideo Kojima has officially joined the blogosphere. konami.jp/gs/hideoblog_e/\"" onClick="window.open( this.href, '_self' ); return false;" title="">Hideoblog, hosted on Konami\'s Kojima Productions site, is an interesting read. It\'s a classic example of bringing some everyday humanity to a legendary figure, and reading Kojima\'s descriptions of checking email while eating lunch and the light reflecting from Tokyo\'s Roppongi Hills brings a real sense of the man behind the Metal Gear Solid franchise. And on some days Kojima is doing things like getting his copy of Hard Boiled autographed by Frank Miller. It\'s a bit surreal, and should be a must-read for any Kojima acolytes. Check it out.
