Pirates! doesn't let you play as the dirty, honor-less dogs that probably really roamed the high seas, but who wants to play as them anyway? Sid Meier takes us through a delightful rendition of what pirates should have been; driven by passion for love, revenge, and gold. First read our review, then run out and find yourself a copy. This game is a classic.
The pickings are pretty slim so far in terms of Nintendo DS games, but there are a couple of decent titles out there that will make DS owners proud. Sadly, Spider-Man 2 isn't one of them. Find out all about it right here.

With quality competition from games like City of Heroes and World of Warcraft, all arriving in the last year to vie for our monthly subscription dollars, the makers of EverQuest have a much tougher battlefield before them than they did five years ago when the series first helped define the genre. How good of an experience does EverQuest II offer? Is it worth your time in a world awash with MMOGs? Make sure you read Eric's review to find out.

There are stereotypes in the gaming industry. There's the concept of the nerdy guy that never goes outside, that never plays sports, that weighs too much, and has a pale, colorless complexion. But most of the time, these stereotypes are inaccurate. For starters, you could take the above example and, at least nearly every other time, read it girl? where the guy? is now. And the rest of it? That's just right out. Battling stereotypes is one of the obstacles our industry has to overcome. Are columns like GameSpy's new GirlSpy a way to do that? Aaron doesn't think so. Do you agree with him? Be sure to read and find out.

There isn't exactly a ton of competition as far as good DBZ games go, but Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 is the best DBZ game yet. New attacks have been added to shore up the questionable fighting engine of the past, and the result is a game that plays almost exactly like you are watching an episode of the show. Eric tells us all about it here.

WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw is THQ's latest 'rasslin title for the PS2. Some of its most talked about features don't quite live up to the hype, but the gameplay is better than ever and that is what counts. Find out what went right and what went horribly, horribly wrong in our full review.

With deep characters, extreme depth of play, and a strong, dark atmosphere, Bloodlines is a near perfect game... if you can get it running, that is. Do technical glitches bring this gem down? Jason takes us through the role-playing sweetness of the undead, where how you play, what you play as, and who you snack on are all just matters of personal taste.

There's nothing like the first solid snowfall of December to bring back memories of the good ol yesteryears. A lot has changed since the days of the Super NES and classic 2D games. With the recent release of the first next generation handheld, the DS, what you might have found under your Christmas tree in the 1990s is looking worse and worse even when compared to today's portable systems, not counting the home consoles. Is that good? Click here to let Chris tell you what there is to miss about the days of yore.

Blinx 2: Masters of Space and Time is the big M's latest attempt at platform excellence. And like their previous attempts at platform excellence, it definitely has its ups and downs. Can the scrappy tabby pull this one out? Not with all the time crystals in the world...
