The Evolvers: A well selected name for what could constitute an entirely new perspective on massively multiplayer gaming. For years there have been videogames that have attempted to mimic the look and feel of Hollywood: vampire slayers, star trekkers, bounty hunters “ slews of voice actors trying to mimic other people in the name of a good videogame. It's amazing how rarely they succeed. Similarly, there are times when storylines built with the controls of a console or played out on the screen of the PC are used to produce a feature film. Resident Evil. Final Fantasy.

It does a whole lot of things right, but it isn\'t as revolutionary as GTA3, and, frankly, we\'re disappointed with the direction in which the series is heading. Actually, since Resident Evil Zero takes place before the first Resident Evil, those zombies just haven\'t been cleaned out yet. It turns out that in Montgomery County, Maryland, police are looking into "tips" they received on their sniper hotline concerning Grand Theft Auto 3, as described in this article from The Jeffersonian. Callers phoning the line apparently reported that in Grand Theft Auto 3 you could use a sniper rifle to shoot whomever you'd like. So in the interest of thoroughly investigating the case, several police officers from the Montgomery County Police Department have purchased GTA3 from a Circuit City over the past couple weeks. Are these guys doing a bunch of hard work, or are they simply catching up on their games?

Sure, racing souped-up airplanes at really low altitudes through Nevada canyons sounds extreme, but Xtreme Air Racing manages to tone down the heart-pumping thrills and focus on the fairly cerebral simulation.
